About the work
Natural Stripes is an abstract acrylic painting that was inspired by a whitewashed brick wall with a huge tree hanging over it, across the street from the Commander's Palace in New Orleans. The brown represents the bark of the tree and the greens represents all the leaves, bushes and surrounding plants. The white and gray colors were adapted from the brick wall and rainy skies. This abstract art will bring a little bit of nature into your home.

The San Francisco Bay Area, is where I am sheltering at home with my husband and college bound son. My older son works in Los Angeles. Paint colors, shapes and textures bring me happiness and carry me to a whole new world. I am grateful painting allows me to escape the realities of the pandemic. I look forward to being able to paint theater sets with my comrades at WVLO again.
