About the work

This picture is part of a larger collection showing the beautiful landscapes of Iceland. When taking this picture I was intrigued by the amazing peaceful and serene dark shades of grey on this black beach and the light grey shades of the sea and clouds in the background. The play of the light on the several elements make them very special. My eyes are always attracted to interesting compositions of motifs. Here I captured a wonderful play of light and dark on the black beaches of Iceland.
