There are few things more restorative than escaping to the mountains and strolling along an alpine lake, especially in the autumn. Crisp air. Warm light. The fresh scent of pine all around you as you listen to the water gently lapping the shore. A place where time seems to stand still and everything melts away into quiet, serenity, peace. A place of calm and stillness and soul. This first piece in my Alpine Light series was photographed in the Lake Arrowhead area (one of my very favorite mountain escapes) amidst the soft light of golden hour just before the sun disappeared below the hillside for the night. I hope that it will transport you away your own favorite mountain escape while adding a touch of that quintessential tranquility to your space.
