About the work
After some very nice wine and a very warm evening, this painting came together. The paint went on like silk and moved across the canvas in a sexy dance. I love this palate! Blues, teals and whites dancing like the colors of the Caribbean!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us.
