About the work

Playing with geometry and color, and inspired by Rothko's abstract expressionist works of the mid-20th century, these pieces retain the texture of the delicate hand-lifted emulsion, with color achieved through a digital finish. One in a set of four shot on instant film then scanned and digitally manipulated.
