In upstate New York, I once lived in a rambling farmhouse that was slowly being consumed by wisteria. The sun would slant through the greenery and lick the deck chairs with a cool sunrise or a warm sunset. It was a refuge for a tumbling mind, a quiet hideaway from the busy world. The loose style of brushstrokes in this piece reflects the free flowing mood of this haven.
