About the work
With the blackest black paint and white I swept the paint across the canvas with my largest brushes letting it merge together along with a bit of silver metallic. The outcome was wonderful movement and saturated shades of black, grey and white.

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us.
