About the work
This cheerful, sunny, photograph of a sunflower is powerful in it simplicity. The single dominant image of the sunflower makes a statement without extraneous objects to take away from its being. To photograph this flower, I positioned it in front of a pool of water which results in the beautiful sea foam green background. The vibrant oranges and dark brown of the sunflower are set off by the beautiful, slightly textured, background.

I graduated from UCLA School of Medicine and began my career as a physician in diagnostic radiology. Photography became my creative outlet and way of relaxing.
