Lake Tahoe holds all of the things I love to paint: blue water and mountains, textury pines, bright rock, and gnarly branches. One of my favorite views from Emerald Bay State Park, the lake is to your back as you ascend a short path up blinding bright rock, layer upon layer of land rising up before you, waiting for you to reach the waterfalls and viewpoints over the lake.
