A beautiful tension is created by these overlapping cacti pads. They gently embrace one another at their base, but begin to grow in separate directions near the tops. Despite this, the crisp, spiked spines at the tip of the pad in the foreground seem to lean left, along with the direction of the pad in the back, regaining balance and harmony throughout.
