About the work

I've always loved amusement parks - they seem to bring out the inner child in everyone. Although the swings may not be the favorite of thrill-seekers, they hold a special nostalgia for many. It's simply enjoyable being swung in huge circles under the twinkling lights as the evening light begins to set in. The composition and movement in this photograph make you feel as though you are actually there.
