About the work

Growing up in the Bay Area, I always loved the days we would hike through the foothills. Now that I have moved away, I wanted to create a painting that would capture the magnificent golden hue of the grass, and the aqua haze of the autumn sky. My hope is that painting will invoke warmth and serenity, as I felt in my childhood.
