About the work

This image is one of several I created by photographing very small elm seedlings in the studio. Each was strung between strobe lights and photographed in three segments. When stitched together, the images grew to 18,000 raw pixels in height, perfect for large-format prints. Further post-production was kept to a minimum resulting in clean, low-key photographs.
