About the work

This is a painting of a girl in a swimsuit at the edge of a pool combing her long hair. It is my mother in Spain circa 1960. She did not have blue hair. I always thought it would be fun to have hair so black that it was blue and painted it as such. The original painting is acrylic on canvas.
