About the work

On a clear day in Santa Cruz, California, this photograph was taken at a favorite local surf spot called "The Hook". You can see the gentle surf break in the distance and a few surfers out on the water. Walking down the stairs at Pleasure Point, the cliffs and Monterey cypress trees are in the foreground, and you can even spy the home of surf legend Jack O'Neill.
