About the work

The Untamed Blue Series is a collection of images of the southern Maine coast. Shape and color take center stage to convey the primal power of the sea. Outlines are blurred to emphasize energetic motion - frothy surf crashing against jagged rocks. With focus removed in camera, the viewer's imagination is unleashed to consider her own experience with the untamed sea. Each piece works great as a stand alone or as a collection of two or three.
