About the work

This painting was inspired by my childhood road trips to beautiful national and state parks. I remember sitting in the back seat, gazing out the car window, as we passed by endless rows of trees lining the mountains. I wanted to capture the sense of adventure and excitement that I always feel whenever I am headed into the mountains.
