This piece was inspired by three little toys I found at a general store. I love the look of vintage items, even this small reproduction, and I wanted to explore the shape of the toy as well as the metallic paint it was created in. I decided to use a metallic paper as the backdrop, to reflect both the feel of the paint and the toy itself. The overall effect is very fun and retro, giving the image a 1950's space invaders vibe.
