This illustration is inspired by the newest member of our family, our playful puppy. I wanted to capture the joy, energy, and simple happiness he shows while playing fetch. I originally painted this piece in gouache. Using gouache allowed me to embrace a hand-drawn feel with textured brush strokes. This piece gives off a simplicity and lightness, that will add a wonderful energy to a child's room.
