This piece of work was inspired by the literal and symbolic stories told by caterpillars and butterflies in nature each spring.
Caterpillars turn into complete mush inside their cocoons and undergo a DNA change. It is a mess. When the emerge they are an entirely different creature. This metamorphosis is a great inspiration to me. It is a reminder that sometimes chaos and imperfection herald awe inspiring beauty.
