About the work

Ten Red Things includes exactly what it describes, ten green things. In this case a bell pepper, a ladybug, a bird, a rocket ship, a starfish, a toothbrush, a block, a strawberry, a crab and a book. Individually these ten things seem random and unrelated. Collectively, the illustrate a full picture of the color red. Pieces like this help children collect, organize and categorize objects. By making everything the same color, these “things” can then be compared by size, shape and category (i.e. Transportation, sea life, space, nature and everyday objects). This piece is perfect for grasping color in early childhood development stages and makes a fun art piece for any playroom.
