About the work

Collage on paper is one of my favorite media because it allows me to make bold statements using very limited color palette and few simplified forms, creating unique character and atmosphere. This still life is about life's simple visual pleasures of clear form, color and light. Using ordinary objects and studying them closer makes us appreciate the simplicity. A wine bottle, an onion, a flower, the moon, speak to us in universal ways.
