About the work

This conceptual piece is based on an archival photograph showing a summer afternoon by the lake. I painted it with watercolors. It was a joke - I turned a black-and-white photo into a color one. But there is also a real feeling of bringing a frame from the past to life with a brush. An imagination exercise.
