I am often inspired by a variety of visuals during particular decades. 60's record covers especially jazz infusion. But that conclusion came after I experimented with a variety of tools I had on hand. To complete the painting I added paper cut images which you see alot of on these old record covers. Then the name came to me. I love cuban jazz and dance which goes along with the type of album covers I am inspired by. Rumba. It is a dance of emotional movement started by Cuba and Africa. Between the colors I chose, the movement of my tools and and the style I hope I have shown my abstract inspiration of all of the above.
