About the work

While I was travelling to the Cowichan River on Vancouver Island, the weather was perfect on this late summer night, with a clear sky to see the Milky Way just over the horizon. I enjoy showing scale in my artwork, and the inclusion of the trees grounds the viewer’s perspective and brings out the grandeur of the stars in all their glory.
